Husbyfestivalen and Kistaloppet 2013
August 31st was a day with too many things happening in too many places for me to be able to cover them all. It's as if everyone realized that they had to get some festival or performance out the door before September started! Also, the weather gods decided they had a bunch of rain they had to get rid of before the end of the month.
The result was me running between Husbyfestivalen[a] (Husby Festival) in Husby, and Kistaloppet[b] (The Kista Run) which took place in Kista and had the runners make a loop down to Akalla before coming up through Husby and back to Kista. I can say that Kistaloppet this year had water not just available at checkpoints but everywhere.
Runners come in to Husby Centrum via Edward Griegsgången from Akalla.
