Museo de la Nación
Updated:
The national museum, featuring a special exhibition about the Internal Conflict in Peru[a].
The museum is housed in a massive concrete building, seemingly designed only with straight lines and right angles, prompting associations both to the Inca's stone architecture and to a bleak prison. Which, luckily, manages to fit the exhibitions perfectly: The historical exhibition has hidden the walls behind colorful partitions in yellow, orange and green; the Internal Conflict exhibition retains the cold, raw concrete except for a few white squares of translucent fabric that reflect a little light to the inner parts of the floor.
