I found this bumblebee sitting on a leaf. It didn't move, and after a little bit a realized that the poor thing was probably exhausted.
I mixed up some sugar and water, and dripped some of it down the leaf. The bumblebee seemed first surprised and then eagerly started drinking, following the trail the water made. I put on some more water.
It extended its wings, flew up to a hover in front of me for a fraction of a second - and then set off.
