When I first watched the winner of the PC demo competition of Revision 2015, I was underwhelmed. CNCD and Fairlight have turned out some nice productions previously, like Agenda Circling Forth[a], but the moment I saw a neon / black corridor with wub coming out of the speakers I tuned out. When I was fed a flashing sequence of words with some drug names thrown in for that highschool-grade "edgy" feeling I dropped out.
Which was the wrong thing to do - or, if you want to put blame on the creators, the wrong thing to lead the demo with.
It was the mention of Ellie - choreography / dancer
[*][b] that made me reconsider and give it a chance. Since I have filmed some dance, I was curious what they would come up with. That curiosity paid off - the demo really takes off after the one minute mark.
