Dusk and Dawn by the River

Even before I arrived in New Orleans, I know that I wanted to photograph the river from a point just south of the bend where the French Quarter lies. The sunrise would be east-northeast, so just like Sunrise at Kastellholmen, I would get some nice red on the horizon. To scout out the site, I went there the evening before, not expecting anything. As it were, I got some decent shots then, too. The next mornings 0600 shots turned out about as expected, though. I got my red, but the rising sun was hidden behind a cloud, so I didn't get that.
