Unlike the Baby Stroller Hike, this is a trail for people with boots - yet not all that difficult. The trail is very visible (at least during the day) and marked up. Since the first snow was melting a lot of the trail was mud or puddles of water, but nothing reasonably waterproof hiking boots[b] can't easily deal with. The trail also passes a couple of marshes, but they were all covered by footbridges. As the trail reaches the northern point of Lake Byl, it merges with the Baby Stroller Hike, so if you make it that far - you're likely to make it all the way.
