Church of the Holy Sepulchre
The church said to contain Golgotha and the place where Jesus was buried (the "sepulchre"). I first thought I'd write a summary of interesting things about the church here, but there were so many on the Wikipedia article about the church, that I'll just invite the reader to go there. For example, due to the complex ownership arrangements of the church building, there has been a ladder standing on the outside of the church since the 19th century - it doesn't go anywhere, but nobody is allowed to move or remove it.
