There are few really powerfully ugly places in Stockholm, but the space below the northern end of St Eric Bridge is one. I'd even consider it as being uglier than Slussen, because while Slussen can't get too disgusting due to people moving through it all the time, there is no such built-in limit to this place. The only people going this far in are urban explorers looking for an entrance to the subway system - one apparently used to be able to get there through the red door beneath the Akayism poster (now locked).

Amazingly there is a record store here - Diamond Records, which apparently is a goldmine for second hand vinyls and cds. I remember going here with a friend way back and he bought the Cereal Killer Soundtrack [a], something which would place that event around 1993.

Diamond Records doesn't have a website I can link to - I suppose that the Internet, like God, doesn't exist here.
