Liljevalchs Spring Salon 2016
A view from the rooftops - this is a view south from the top of Gallerian, the first big indoor shopping mall in the center of Stockholm. Liljevalchs's Spring Salon takes place here (since the ordinary premises on Djurgården are closed for renovation).
The building with the clock in the foreground was built for Skånebanken (Scania Bank) in 1900 and is now a listed building. The red sandstone in the building is from Scania - Övedskloster, to be exact.
In the midground is the spire of Riddarholm Church, one of the oldest buildings in Stockholm. The cast iron spire is from 1835, when it replaced the previous spire that had been destroyed by lightning.
Finally, in the background are the cliffs of Södermalm. The red fence is Monteliusvägen, a great place to get a view of the Old Town.
