Rag and Bone / Homeless Fox

Part of Laura Ford's sculpture suite "Rag and Bone" - a homeless fox is trying to keep herself and her kid warm, while hoping for some coins from passers-by. The sculpture was created in 2007 and bought by the City of Stockholm in 2008. Then followed a public vote on where the sculpture were to be placed. The tally was very even between Drottninggatan and Slussen - but finally Drottninggatan was victorious with 52% of the vote.

The final result was quite symbolic: the sculpture is right smack in the middle of the buildings housing the Swedish government.
