Winona[a]
is located a couple of miles east of Flagstaff, AZ.
I hesitate to call it a town, or even a community, and to
be honest, I haven't confirmed that it has a population
at all. If it does, then it was certainly not obvious.
The place shares its name with the town Winona in Michigan,
a couple of states and thousands of kilometers to the north-northwest,
and also has a namesake in actress
Winona Ryder[b].
For the curious, the name Winona means "first born daughter"
in the Dakota (indian) language.
