This is a planned real estate development near
Lake Mead. People put money in - sight unseen - thinking that
"near Lake Mead" meant they'd have a view of Lake Mead. Or be
near it.
As it were, the answer turned out to be "neither".
A bit north of this (now failed and stalled) development
is a place called Meadview - from which you also can't
see the lake. But the name sure looks nice.
The lake itself is the sandy dried-out patch
near the horizon - if it is at all possible to have a view
of a lake that has no water is a question left for the
philosophers.
